Ford 8.8 Bolt Pattern – I've been working on putting together a completely new rear end for my 04 and am currently at the stage of adjusting the backlash and pinon depth. The attached photos are of the 3rd pattern. Hey everyone i’ve been trying to setup my ford racing 4.10 gear set on my ford 8.8 for about a month now and im getting my butt kicked. Redrilled ford 8.8 axle shafts from there original 5×4.5 to gm 5×4.75 bolt pattern also drilled the rotors to match. With pinion removed, place differential case (ring gear removed) with differential bearings and differential bearing cups in rear axle housing. First one i had 0.028 pinion shim.
